1. How To Trick Your Friend To Agree With You

There are a few simple ways to trick a friend into agreeing with you. This psychological trick requires you to nod your head when your friend is talking. It doesn’t matter if you agree with them; just keep nodding. They’ll agree and nod along with your genius idea when you make a point.
2. Eight Days Without Sleep Brain Teaser

Everyone loves a good brain teaser. The best part of a brain teaser is there’s no wrong answer. The eight days without sleep brain teaser is a classic. Simply ask your friends, “how can a person go eight days without sleep?” While they’ll struggle for the correct answer, it’s actually simpler than the question itself: sleep at night.
3. Repeating a Phrase

Word repetition mind tricks always work. Write down the phrase, “Paris in the the spring.” Next, ask your friends to repeat the phrase as fast as possible. People are so laser-focused on not getting tricked that they miss the trick completely. The real deception involves seeing how long it takes them to realize the word “the” repeats twice.
4. The Zeigarnik Effect

It’s common for people to get a song stuck in their heads. Sometimes, it’s a great tune that keeps repeating. Other times, it’s an annoying song we want to forget, but the words keep coming out.
According to the Zeigarnik effect, people remember tasks they have yet to complete more than an unfinished project. Say the last word in the song and you have completed the task. Now, the finished song will escape your mind forever.
5. Jane’s Mother

Friends have been dazzling each other with riddles for centuries. They don’t require any work, and they’re fun. The riddle about Jane’s mother is one of the most memorable.
The riddle is simple: Jane’s mother has four kids. The first three are named May, June, and July. Ask your friends to name the fourth child. Most people go with the logical answer of “August.” While it might sound right, “August” is the wrong answer because Jane’s mother’s fourth child is Jane.
6. The Orange Juice Trick

The orange juice trick requires more work than others on this list, but it’s worth it. Tell your friend that it’s impossible to tell the difference between three contrasting types of milk. Test out that experiment by pouring the three different types of milk into separate glasses. Then, blindfold your friend and give them a glass of orange juice. Since they’re expecting milk, they’ll gag when the acidic orange juice touches their lips and you’ll have fooled them good and proper.

7. The Number Four Math Trick

Math tricks are great for long road trips with family or friends. Regardless of the number your friends pick, the trick will always end with the number four. Tell your friend to think of any number and then double it. Next, add eight and subtract half that number. Finally, minus the original number and you’ll end up back at the number four. Genius.
8. Say It Carrot

The “name a vegetable” mind trick is the easiest way to force your friend to say “carrot.” Ask your friend a rapid series of questions, “What’s 1+1? What’s 2+2? What’s 4+4? What’s 8+8? Name a vegetable.” Inevitably, the person will answer with the word “carrot.” Try the trick on different family and friends, and the answer will always be the same, “carrot.” Why is anyone’s guess, but trust us, it works.
9. Use Silence To Negotiate

Some people might find negotiating intimidating, especially with a boss or superior. However, a simple mind trick could turn things in your favor. Allow your boss to make a number offer when negotiating a pay raise. Instead of countering, don’t respond. The uncomfortable silence will be too much for them and they’ll increase the offer until you get what you want and finally speak.
Ok, so this one might not work as well if your boss is a hardass, but it’s well worth a crack just in case you get that massive pay rise you deserve.
10. How Many “F’s” Do You See?

A visual mind trick is just as fun as a verbal one. Write down the sentence, “Finished files are the result of years of scientific study combined with the experience of years.” Ask your friend to read the sentence and ask them the number of “F’s” they see. Most people will answer two or three because they only check the first two words of the sentence. You’ll baffle them when you reveal the correct answer is six.
11. Two Electricians Riddle

It’s impossible to go wrong with a good riddle. Riddles are entertaining, mind-bending, and usually funny. For example, two electricians are working on a rewiring job. One of them is the other one’s son. Here’s where things get tricky. The other one is not his father. It’s one of those answers staring you right in the face that you won’t see until someone tells you. The answer is the other one’s not his father, because it’s his mother.
12. Mind Reading Trick

This mind reading trick will blow your friends and family away. It’s a simple trick where you can convince everyone that you can read minds. Take your dictionary and write down the ninth word on page 108, placing it in an envelope. Ask two friends to let you read their minds. Chances are they’re going to laugh at you. Once you convince them to participate, have one handle the calculator and the other the dictionary.
Ask your friend to pick three numbers without repeating, such as 428. Reverse the number 824 and subtract the small number from the larger number. The number ends up being 396. Reverse the number again and add 396 to 693 to get 1089. At this point, the trick has come full circle. Ask your friend to look up the ninth word on page 108. Of course, that’s when you pull out the envelope and blow away your friend’s mind.
